Privacy.
This policy describes how Anamora (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles personal data when you visit this website, apply to onboard, contact us, or install and use the Anamora desktop application. It is written in plain language because you should be able to understand it without a lawyer.
The short version.
The Anamora desktop app is local-first. The vault, the runtime, your meetings, your drafts, and your runs all live on your device. We do not collect your business data, and we do not have a server that mirrors your vault. The only data we hold about you on our systems is the small set of details you enter on this website.
What we collect on this website.
- Application intake. When you submit the apply form, we collect your name, email, role, optional company and location, the answers you provided about your week and the tools you use, any links you shared, and a timestamp. We use this information to evaluate fit, schedule the fit call, and keep a record of our cohort.
- Contact messages. When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email, and message. We use this to respond.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our server records standard request metadata (IP address, user-agent, timestamp, path) for a short retention window. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
What we do not collect.
- We do not run telemetry on the desktop app by default.
- We do not transmit your vault, your meetings, your drafts, or your runs to our servers.
- We do not use cookies for advertising. We do not sell or share data with advertisers.
Where data is stored.
Application and contact data is stored in a database operated by us. It sits behind authentication, is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is accessible only to the operators triaging applications and replies.
Vault and runtime data created by the desktop app stays on your machine, in a folder you control. If you choose to back it up — to iCloud Drive, Time Machine, a network share, or a server you operate — the storage policy of that destination applies.
How long we keep it.
Application records: until the cohort closes plus a short tail for record-keeping (typically 12 months). Contact messages: 24 months, then archived. Server logs: 30 days. You can request deletion of your application or contact data at any time.
Subprocessors.
We use a small set of vendors to operate the website and email. Each one is a known provider with a documented privacy posture: a hosting platform for this site, an email provider for transactional replies, and an error-monitoring service. We do not currently use third-party analytics. The list will be made available on request and updated when it changes.
Your rights.
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the data we hold about you on our systems. If you’re in a jurisdiction with specific data-protection rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.), you have the rights granted under those laws and we will honor them. The fastest way to exercise any of these is to email us via the contact form.
Children’s privacy.
Anamora is a tool for working professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16, and the desktop product is not directed at them.
Changes to this policy.
When we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be communicated to existing operator-cohort members directly.
Contact.
For privacy questions, use the contact form and write “privacy” in the message. A real person on the team will respond within a week.
